A modern consumer brand for a new generation of homebuyers.

Halo Living Branding

Brand
Print Design

A Midlands-based housebuilder approached us at a pivotal moment: they needed a new consumer brand that could launch publicly in six weeks, support a live development, and stand apart in a category dominated by traditional, conservative aesthetics.

The ambition wasn’t just to “badge” homes. It was to build a brand that reflected the tastes, expectations, and lifestyles of modern homebuyers. Confident, contemporary, and design-led.

We needed to build a complete consumer brand from scratch, including its name, positioning, identity and launch assets, under extreme time pressure, with no existing strategic foundation, and a live scheme waiting for signage!

Our Approach

Rather than imitate legacy housebuilders, who often default to heraldry, heritage tropes and safe colours, we took inspiration from contemporary lifestyle brands with clean geometry, tonal palettes, and confident typography. The idea was to signal modernity instantly:

  • Minimalist, contemporary identity
  • Elegant sans-serif typography
  • A calm, muted colour palette led by sage green
  • A soft, circular mark that felt architectural without being cliché

Designed to be recognisable, flexible and premium, without drifting into luxury for luxury’s sake.

We created the name Halo Living and even managed to secure them a domain which happened to be in an auction at the time! A short, memorable, positive verb-led brand that implies protection, elevation and wellbeing, without referencing bricks, roofs or cornfields.

The positioning centred around one belief: “Homes designed for modern living - simple, thoughtfully made, and built for life.” Not lofty heritage. Not corporate jargon. Just a clear expression of everyday value and care.
